Well, I’m back home from my week away for training, and while I absolutely LOVE my job, I’m really, really exhausted from it, too. I did 3 afternoon shifts (1-10pm) for the first of the week, after which, I went back to the hotel, had some dinner, and went right to bed. The two day shifts I did weren’t much better (9am-5:30pm), especially since I had to take some of the training manuals to the hotel with me so I could finish reading them. I left early yesterday morning, was home by 1pm, and spent the day with my husband and my kitties, in my pajamas, watching movies. Today hasn’t been much better, as all I want to do is sleep. I’m utterly wiped out from this, and the pressure of being in my own store tomorrow doesn’t help.

I just wanted to give everyone a quick status update on Some Scars Never Heal. I’ve been crazy-busy this holiday season, what with work and family commitments, so I haven’t had the time to write that I would have liked. I have 4 days in a row off next week, though, and fully intend to prepare at least 2 updates in that time, so that I can continue posting once a week. Saturday, January 5th, 2008 will be the next update. Thanks for reading, and I hope you’ll all like the direction I’m taking the story in! Happy New Year!

First, let me just say, the Scars update will be late this week. I’m in the middle of a six day stretch at work, which means I’ve been so exhausted, I can barely form words enough to make conversation in day-to-day life, let alone be brilliant when it comes to what I commit to the page (I use ‘brilliant’ very loosely here). I have some time off starting on Wednesday, so expect a new update by Thursday at the latest.

I can barely keep my eyes open as I write this, so I’ll keep it brief. The Scars update this week will be posted on Monday, rather than Saturday, as I’ve been working excessive hours lately due to the fact that I’m now working in two stores, an hour’s drive away from each other. I’m helping to manage another location because they’re very short-staffed and have no manager or assistant manager at the moment. I’m also in charge of the hiring for that location, and the training, etc… that goes along with a new employee. Needless to say, I’m beyond exhausted, and I haven’t had time to sleep, much less write. I’m off for 2 days this weekend, however, so I’m hoping to have the Scars update written then. Thanks for your patience, everyone, and I hope you enjoy where I’m taking Peyton and Orlando.

Okay, it’s Monday, and I had planned to post the Scars update on Saturday, but I haven’t had 2 minutes to sit down and write it. The craziness at work is intensifying, and I don’t know how much longer I’m going to be able to continue at this break-neck pace, but I’m going to try. I’ll have the update done sometime this week, hopefully, but will not be able to post it until Monday, March 3rd. Thank-you all for your patience, and I hope you enjoy where I’m taking Peyton next.

Hey everyone! I just got home after being stuck in Waterloo (about an hour away) for 2 days because of the snow. I’ve been working there, as I wrote before, and I was there Friday for a shift. We got hit with a snow storm Friday afternoon/evening, so I opted to stay at a friend’s house instead of trying to fight my way home. I was due at work in Waterloo again for Saturday morning at 8:30 anyway, so it was just easier to stay.

I just realized that I’m almost 2 weeks late with the next Scars update, and I wanted to apologize for that. I’ve been working like crazy (as per usual lately), and time has been literally flying by. I thought I posted last Saturday, but I guess I didn’t. It’s crazy how I lose track of time like this!

Well, it’s been about 2 weeks since I sprained my hand, and I’ve since been in a minor car accident that took me off work for 4 days, and have had quite a few of my regular days off as well. So why hasn’t there been an update?
